After driving a Crosslake resident to Crosby for a doctor’s appointment at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, she asked if we could stop at Reed’s Super Market for a few items. Since she was recovering from hip
surgery, I told her I’d run in the store for her. She gave me a short list and a $20.00 bill. A few minutes later I came back to the car, gave her the bag of groceries and $20.00. (The total was $11.57.) You guessed it—I got more joy out of an $11.57 donation than she did. That’s just one of the latest benefits I got out of volunteering. Give it a try.
