Interfaith Volunteers

You need a ride?  You need a ramp?  You need us!

Since 2001, we’ve provided thousands of free rides to Crow Wing County residents to run errands and get to their appointments. And we’ve built hundreds of ramps and made countless home modifications at no cost, that allow folks to remain in their homes, which save costly nursing home placements and senior care services.

You’re welcome!

Our Mission

A faith-based community…

Interfaith Volunteers was founded in 2001 by local clergy, social workers, medical practitioners, law enforcement agencies and many caring residents in Crow Wing County who shared a common concern:

The needs of low-income seniors

in our community were unmet,

placing them at risk.

We’re a 501(c)(3) organization, with a mission of helping low-income seniors and persons with disabilities live comfortable, safe, independent lives in their own home. Although we make no distinction on who we serve, our organization’s two missions are in line with supporting the Christian tenant of doing good to others.

…with a mission of eliminating hardships

Our 350-plus volunteers help Crow Wing County senior citizens continue to live in their homes by building wheelchair ramps, installing minor home modifications and providing rides for medical appointments and errands as well as making personal companionship visits. Our funding comes from grants and corporate and personal donations—all our services are provided at no cost to the folks we serve.

How can we help you?

“Interfaith volunteers is a great example of direct service with easy access. A phonecall puts you in touch with the help you are seeking, followed by a staff assessment. A volunteer is called and the desired need is arranged almost immediately.”

Quote from a Volunteer

“Mark and his crew built me a ramp in December. I pray for them every day. It has made life so much easier for me and whoever comes here to my home. I made them a lunch of homemade chicken soup which I think they enjoyed since it was a very cold day. I enjoyed talking with the Interfaith Volunteers crew and found out that we know a lot of the same people. Again, thank you very much!”

Quote from an Interfaith Ramp Recipient

The ramp is Great! After surgery, I am able to get out of my house with the use of a scooter. I fell using crutches, so this was much safer. The volunteers were wonderful, the response time was quick,  and they did a wonderful job! Interfaith volunteers has been a Godsend.”

People love what we do for them.

But you’ll love doing it even more.

It’s true!

You always get more back than you give. It’s a joyous feeling our volunteers can’t seem to get enough of…and we know you will too.

Can you swing a hammer? Drive a car? Call or visit folks we serve? That’s all we ask…and you can do it on your schedule, not ours.

We would love and value your help. Just click the buttons below to learn how you can give back in a way that suites you best.

Thanks so much.
