COVID-19 UPDATE: Do you have some time on your hands and want to help your neighbor or someone in need in our community? Due to the recent crisis, we are expanding our services to offer phone calling to the lonely, homebound, and isolated who may be in need of social contact. We also deliver groceries, medications, run errands, or help in other ways. We are committed to helping people remain safely and independently at home.
If you or someone you know is able to volunteer – even if just for a few hours – please call us at 218-820-7454.
Of course we need you!
Can you….
- swing a hammer
- listen to a lonely person
- reach a high shelf
- drive a car
- hold a hand during chemotherapy
- be a friend?
We construct dozens of wheelchair ramps each year and drive tens-of-thousands of miles transporting seniors to medical appointments, shopping and errands. We make numerous home visits. We depend on our network of over 350 dedicated volunteers to do the work faithfully, cheerfully and promptly. We also do our level best to make sure none of our volunteers is over scheduled, over worked, or otherwise taken advantage of.
Our guiding principle is taken from Scripture, 1 Peter 4:10. If you are moved to give of your time and talents, we would be pleased to discuss with you just how that can happen.
Please be forewarned. Helping folks in need is not only rewarding…itโs addicting. ๐
